1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Fatherís house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself;
that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
The following is the lineage of Jesus Christ. You may find it in part
in the book of Ruth 4:13-22. It is in Matthew 1:1-25 and in Luke 3:23-38.
Joseph's Patriarch Tree - Matthew 1:1-25
1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, son
2 Abraham begot Isaac, and Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and
3 And Judah begot Pharez and Zarah of Tamar, and Pharez begot Hezron,
and Hezron begot Aram,
4 And Aram begot Aminadab, and Aminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon
5 And Salmon begot Boaz of Rahab, and Boaz begot Obed of Ruth, and
Obed begot Jesse,
6 And Jesse begot David the king. And David begot Solomon of her who
had been the wife of Uriah,
7 And Solomon begot Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah
8 And Asa begot Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram
9 And Uzziah begot Jotham, and Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot
10 And Hezekiah begot Manasseh, and Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon
11 And Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the
deportation to Babylon.
12 And after the deportation to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Salathiel,
and Salathiel begot Zerubbabel,
13 And Zerubbabel begot Abiud, and Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim
14 And Azor begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot
15 And Eliud begot Eleazar, and Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan
16 And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born
Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 Thus all the generations from Abraham until David are fourteen
generations, and from David until the deportation to Babylon,
fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon until
the Christ, fourteen generations.
18 Now the origin of Jesus Christ was in this way: His mother,
she had been engaged to Joseph, before they came together, was
found to be with child of the Holy Spirit.
19 And Joseph her husband, being righteous and not willing to
disgrace her openly, intended to send her away secretly.
20 But while he pondered these things, behold, an angel of the
Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary your wife, for that which has
been begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus,
for it is He who will save His people from their sins.
22 Now all this has happened so that what was spoken by the Lord
through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,
23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a son,
and they shall call His name Emmanuel" (which is translated,
God with us).
24 And when Joseph awoke from his sleep, he did as the angel
of the Lord commanded him and took to himself his wife.
25 And he did not know her until she bore a son. And he called
His name Jesus.

Mary and Joseph were both descended from David; however, Joseph
was descended from David's son Solomon and Mary was descended
from David's son Nathan.

My side note: You will note in Joseph's tree there are forty-two generations
to Christ which is the same number mentioned in the book of Revelations
which translates to three and a half years. I found that interesting.
The two names other than David that are in both trees are Salathiel

Mary and Joseph were both descended from the seed of David, Mary
from Davidís son Nathan and Joseph from Davidís son Solomon. If, as
some people believe, Mary had other children, then those sons and
daughters children would be nieces and nephews of Christ. To say
that Christ was the uncle of any earthly children is the same as
saying God was the grand uncle of earthly children and that I call
heresy. That would also be the same as calling Mary and Joseph
grandparents of earthly children. Nowhere in scripture does it state
that Mary and Joseph became grandparents.
If, as some people say, Christ had natural brothers then why did
he designate the apostle John as the caregiver for his mother
which he addressed as "woman?"
God is our Father in heaven. Christ is our Saviour and one person
in the Holy Trinity. Mary had siblings and their children would
be cousins of Christ.
If you call your pastor/preacher or male members of the congregation
brother where you attend church, why? Is your pastor/preacher your
brother? Are the male members of the congregation your brothers?
You people are committing heresy when you make false claims against
Christ. That also means you are making false claims against God.
You better think about those statements.
